LabCentral, is seeking an Associate Manager, Events & Partnerships reporting to the Manager, Events & Partnerships.
This role requires a focus on providing high-quality client service with strong communication skills and the ability to anticipate the needs of each unique event. You’ll be a strong fit for this role if you have at least 4 or more years of experience in event and/or programming planning and execution and are experienced in building relationships with clients and stakeholders. Bonus points if you are the kind of person that enjoys connecting people and are a natural networker.
What will I do?
Responsibilities:
Your day-to-day is focused on ensuring all Partnership-led events and programming are well-planned, well-executed, and provide value to our resident companies and sponsors. Every day is different, so flexibility and responsiveness are key!
Some examples of how you can expect to spend your time include:
- Collaborating with Partnerships, Startup Success, and Science Strategy teams to execute meaningful engagements for our resident companies and sponsors.
- Coordinating with vendors, partner organizations, and event hosts to ensure successful experiences.
- Collaborating and guiding internal teams, residents, and sponsors on executing events and programming.
- Managing the flow of the events experience while providing individual support as needed.
- Leading communications for an internal audience of 1000+, including weekly email and printed newsletters, digital signage, and occasional off-cycle communications
- Producing monthly external email newsletters for an audience of 2000+
- Managing the events database, ensuring appropriate tracking of event information and attendees
- Displaying a high-level of customer service and ensuring residents and sponsors have a positive experience
- Overseeing physical setups and teardowns of event space, A/V systems, banquet event orders, furniture, etc of 300+ events annually.
- Overseeing virtual setups for remote events using Zoom and Microsoft Teams
- Other responsibilities as needed and appropriate to support the team and our residents
What will I do?
Desired qualifications and technical skills:
- Several years of experience in relevant areas including, but not limited to: event planning, event logistics, stakeholder management, project management.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering exceptional customer service as well as building and maintaining relationships with clients and external partners.
- Evidenced growth and increase in responsibility within or across organizations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook calendars and PowerPoint, Zoom, Microsoft Teams. Ability to learn other software applications as needed.
- Find ease in learning new technology and software (bonus points if you are familiar with Canva, Adobe Suite and InDesign!).
- Familiarity with online event management platforms, such as Swoogo, Eventbrite, etc.
- Have an eye for visual design.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs at a time.
- Experience in the biotech industry or life sciences a plus.

Work environment:
- Fully onsite during regular business hours.
- Ability to sit and stand for long periods, ability to move around an office and lab environment, and ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.

Compensation
Our compensation philosophy is intentional and researched to align with average market salaries; comprehensive, generous benefits to support overall well-being; and parity with our existing and future team members. Below details the value of what our compensation package may look like, but specific details pertaining to an individual will vary.
Salary range: $67k-87k along with the potential to earn a bonus of 10% based on company performance.
Approximate monetary value of benefits (based off an individual – dependents increase value): $22,000.
